A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT CIGAR SMOKING AT FIGHT NIGHT
As you may know, all restaurants and public spaces in hotels in the
District of Columbia are now smoke-free. The regulations created, as
a result of the law passed by the Council of the District of
Columbia in 2006, provide limited ways for organizations to receive
a waiver from the restrictions. We recognize the tradition of
enjoying fine cigars has been a unique feature of Fight Night since
its inception. In that spirit, we will request a waiver from the DC
Department of Health under the provisions of the regulations.
Unfortunately, we will not know if our request will be granted until
later in the year. If Fight Night is not granted a waiver, we will
continue the tradition of providing Fight Night gift bags with fine
cigars, Fight Night cigar cutters, and Fight Night matches so that
you may enjoy a cigar after the event, outside or at home.
Thank you for your understanding.
